Yasuaki Ishikawa is a composer, filmmaker, and writer of fairy tales who creates delicate sonic landscapes interweaving piano, strings, environmental sounds, and electronics, drifting gently between the realms of dreams and memory. His works traverse the boundaries of reality and the imaginary, evoking deeply personal feelings and recollections in the listener.

 

Highly resonant with visual media and exhibition spaces, Ishikawa’s music creates moments where sound intersects with story and image. His sound is poetic and serene—both nostalgic and novel—offering an experience that gently touches the depths of memory. He has composed for numerous emotionally rich films, including human dramas and mysteries, where atmosphere and nuance are key.

 

He graduated from Aichi University of the Arts with a major in composition and completed his master’s degree at the same institution. Currently, he teaches part-time at Nagoya University of the Arts, Chubu University, Sugiyama Jogakuen University, and Mode Gakuen, where he educates students in composition, sound media expression, and film scoring.

石川泰昭は、ピアノと弦楽器を基調に、環境音や電子音を繊細に織り交ぜ、夢と記憶のあわいを漂うような音の風景を描き出す音楽家・映像作家・童話作家。

その音は、現実と非現実の境界を静かにたゆたい、聴く人の内なる記憶や感情を優しく呼び起こす。映像作品や展示空間との親和性も高く、音楽が物語や風景と深く交差する瞬間を生み出している。

静謐で詩的なその響きは、どこか懐かしく、どこか新しい、記憶の奥に触れるような時間をもたらし、ヒューマンドラマやミステリーなど情感や雰囲気のある映画の音楽を多数手がけている。

愛知県立芸術大学作曲専攻卒業、同大学院修了。現在は名古屋芸術大学、中部大学、椙山女学園大学、モード学園などで非常勤講師として、作曲・サウンドメディア表現・映画音楽に関する教育にも携わっている。
